Through OneFifty Consultancy I was commissioned by Mazda UK to illustrate the process of making an Okonomiyaki Japanese (Hiroshima style) pancake. These images were for the Mazda UK social media accounts to post on pancake day 2021. I hadn't heard of these delicious layered savoury pancakes before. They come in two main types, Hiroshima-style and Kansai-style, or Osaka-style. The Hiroshima-style was chosen as it's where the Mazda manufacturing plant is based in Japan. I became enormously hungry whilst illustrating these.
